Ayhab Jaber3 days agoI had to clean the linens in my whole house and my washer broke down. I haven't been to the Mt Airy Laundromat since it was renovated. I was so impressed. I was able to do everything in their super large washers and dryers at the same time. It would have taken me a week to do this much laundry at home. I did it there in a little more than 2 hours. The staff were so helpful advising me how to operate the large and powerful machines how much detergent to use and how to load the machines. The facility was very clean and the equipment rather quiet considering how many were operating at the same time and how large they were. The attendant checked on me frequently to check my progress. They also have good parking close to the door of the laundry for this handicapped 75+ YO granny.+0

Very nice people and they always have someone here so you dont have to worry about something not working or not able to get what you need. They sell laundry bags of great quality and dryer sheets. They also offer wash and fold service as well. Great place ad very clean easy to use and you pay with a laundry mat card so you dont need chage.

She was incredibly kind, helpful, and took the time to answer all of our questions. Her friendly attitude and excellent customer service made our visit so much easier. The laundromat was clean, well-maintained, and thanks to Casey, our first experience was a great one. We will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

I really appreciated how Persilla took the time to explain how to get a card, use the machines, and was always willing to help. She was with me throughout the entire process. Olya M.136 days agoMy girlfriend and I went to this laundry mat again after about 1year -1year 1/2, and absolutely love the new renovations that have been done since our last visit here, new machines,nice and clean space, and absolutely great customer service..the blonde lady was very hospitable and helpful with us on getting us up to date on how to use the new machines and laundry cards they use there now. she is extremely well at her job and made the whole experience there great! We will definitely be back soon!!:)
Alfonso A137 days agoThe equipment is Clean, and works great! There was a attendant to pick up and help. She was Great. I went in early and no wait on the machines I needed to use. By the time I left it was pretty packed but run very well! I will be back for large loads..
Wendy140 days agoI am not usually in Mount Airy but had to be there for something else, and remembered that there was a laundromat. I was so pleasantly surprised when I arrived. Parking is somewhat limited but I found a spot right away. I doubt the lot fills completely, and there is also a handicap spot right next to the door. The entrance is easy to find, and was greeted with the smell of fresh laundry and a big helpful hello by Priscilla, the employee. She talked and walked me through the process, and got me all set up. They sell laundry detergent by the pod, if you need it. There are plenty of large rolling baskets, and also plenty of table space for folding. The floor is clean slate tile, nicely done. Apparently you can use their laundry service, they will wash, dry and fold your clothes for you for a reasonable rate. You don't use coins for the machines, you have to use a laundry card, which they sell at a self-serve kiosk that takes cash or credit cards.

Malia Bright159 days agoThe place has been SERIOUSLY upgraded since I was last here. Very appealing and easy on the eye. The machines were very efficient and got my laundry done in no time! YAY!! Last, but not least, "KIM" was an asset to the laundry business. Very professional, friendly. kind, patient and helpful. I've never seen her before and felt like we became instant best friends. I recommend she gets a raise for her dedication to the Mt. AIRY Laundrymat! Thank you!š

And I was blessed how many believers in Jesus Christ.. was there help each other with anything. I canāt wait to come back to is town to wash my clothes and my soul. Praise Jesus Christ! Updated machines, lots of size options, well kept and clean. However, they are significantly pricier than other laundromats I've been to. The smallest washer is $4.50 per load but doesn't fit much so realistically you would need to pay $9 to wash a normal size load of laundry, and about $3-4 for the dryer. The reloadable cards that are needed to use the machines cost $1, and you can buy detergent pods for $1-2.

Airy Laundromat was clean, there were plenty of machines, and the person on duty provided good information on the various types of washers and dryers. Customers were respectful of each other. Business was jumping, but I never felt rushed or uncomfortable. If I don't get my washer fixed soon I will be back.

Claire Mia328 days agoThis review is for Priscilla! Everytime I come in to the laundromat usually Mondays, she is always so happy! Always helpful to all the customers, VERY knowledgeable ive noticed to those be that are not sure how to load there card(s) , she hops right into sharing her knowledge explaining how to do so aswell as being very friendly to everyone! She is always not stop moving , cleaning, getting all clients clothes done thoroughly and answering all questions clients may have. This is very important in a business and will help this business to be successful! As a real estate agent myself, the clients are number one, in pursuit of there needs and happiness! I get reviews in my business and it goes along way to make us better people. She should be recognized as a valued employee of this establishment! Great work Priscilla, keep it up! John B

Pricilla walked me through every step and guided me on how to be efficient and use less machines to save me time and money! The machines are up to date and well maintained. They have decorated it so cute with plants and nice chairs for me to read on while I wait! Thank you, Pricilla!!!!

Tiffany Kittrell337 days agoI visited this laundromat today since it has changed owners and I am very impressed! The facility has been updated and is very visually appealing. The attendant walked me through each step of how the process works as far as payment goes because it is different than how it used to be. Very streamlined and very efficient! And she did a phenomenal job helping me get set up! I love that they have a laundry card now that you just load money on and you can use it whenever you want. No more need for rolls of quarters! Highly recommend this laundromat if you live in the area!

Kevin Perera347 days agoCasey was sooooo helpful when I brought in a HUGE washable rug that my cat had peed on. š She showed me my options, made recommendations, and even helped me load run the wash. The space is super clean and welcoming, too. Iāll definitely continue to bring my oversized laundry hereā¦I donāt even mind the 27 min drive from Sykesville!

Jenice Coates375 days agoThis was my first time at a laundry mat. My washer broke and my clothes were piling up. The machines were so awesome and the time it takes to wash clothes is half the time as a normal washer which was a huge time saver. Kim was wonderful and helped me though the entire process of purchasing card, how to use the washer and dryer!! The customers doing their laundry were very friendly as well!!! So happy Mount Airy has such a friendly and clean laundry mat!!!

From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by how clean, bright, and well-maintained everything was. The machines are all state-of-the-artāfast, quiet, and spotless. What really stood out to me, though, was the customer service. Casey was incredibly friendly and always ready to help when we had a question or need assistance. She even walked me through how to use one of the newer machines. Plus, the free Wi-Fi, charging stations, and comfy seating made the wait feel like no time at all. I even got some shopping done at Walmart while I waited for my laundry to be done and then received a text notification once my laundry cycle was complete. Itās clear that the owners truly care about the customer experience. Theyāve created a welcoming, efficient space thatās actually enjoyable to visit. I wonāt go anywhere else nowāthis place has turned a boring chore into something I actually look forward to. Highly recommend to anyone who values cleanliness, convenience, and quality service!

Kim and her son Isaac run an incredibly clean, welcoming, and efficient space. They were warm, helpful, and genuinely eager to assist. Every appliance was spotless and in top working order, which made the entire experience stress-free. We tackled all our backed-up laundry in under two hours! Debra Racheter421 days agoWe are traveling and visiting family in Damascus, Maryland. My mother-in-law recommended this laundry mat, it is very clean, and friendly staff! I walked in to wash all of my bedding, including all of my pillows. I have a seven week old that was strapped to me, and Priscilla jumped it right away to help me with everything. She helped me load five washers, and then also help me move them into the dryer back into my bags and help me load the car. It was the best experience Iāve ever had in a laundry mat. Highly recommend this laundromat! I know we will use it again when weāre in the area. Thank you!

Upon arriving Katherine was helpful and explained how to use the machine and brought us a roll of quarters. Katherine's kindness and the cleanliness of the facility made us feel at ease on a stressful day. 3 loads of laundry we're completed in an hour!!!

Charlie, the Manager, was patient and respectful to me, despite my own stupidity. I took in stride and was happy to provide some entertainment for the group of patrons.

I spent several hours there on approximately ~5 days one week and Charlie was amazing. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, funny & down to earth and great to talk with while I was moving through the numerous bags I had. Great local find with great staff for weekly laundering thatās needed, especially for the bigger items. Seems to be reasonably priced as well (but prices just went up), but I donāt have a comparison; washers & dryers seem to be nice and the place seems to be clean.

Greg Middleton1162 days agoThe person in charge that day was really nice and helped me figure out what size washer would be best for my laundry load as well as explaining where to load the detergent into the machine and such in a respectful manner. I came to wash a blanket and it went pretty smoothly. I couldn't find the place until I figured out the location was wrong in Google Maps. I submitted a map change so hopefully it's fixed now.

Michael Biddinger1192 days agoOur washer died on us this week so I lugged three large containers of dirty clothes and a large rug that needed to be cleaned to the Mt Airy laundromat. I figured it would be packed since it's 9am on a Saturday. IT WAS AWESOME. Just a handful of people there. Charlie (the laundro- guru who works there) was so awesome. We exchanged my money for quarters and I hunkered down while my clothes were getting washed. One of my washers wasn't latched properly and the door opened and soapy water went everywhere. Charlie jumped right on it and started throwing old towels down to sop up the mess. Together we managed to give the floors a nice cleaning. Even though I nearly flooded the place, Charlie was so wonderfully pleasant about the rookie mistake I made and even asked that I visit again sometime soon. I had one mishap (in 3+ years of using their laundry service) when dropping off laundry where some items were missing upon pickup, but the owner reimbursed me for the missing items & has taken up the role of handling my laundry personally. The owners are good people... the sort of folks you want to have as neighbors.

Jane Skroupa1625 days agoOur dryer broke and have been going here since. It's actually turned into quite the chill experience. Might never go back to home washing. Clean place, not too crowded, friendly down to Earth staff. Regular washers $2.75 about 30mins. Huge one is now $7.75 and smaller ones $3.50. Dryers big boys .50c for 5 minutes and smaller dryers .25c for 5. About 30 minutes to dry average load so about $1.50-$3. It's takes about $20/30 bucks to do all our laundry but that's bedding, towels, and clothes for a household of 3 adults and a kid for about a month. If you run out of parking space or laundry soap the Walmart has your back. They offer a service to wash and dry your clothes but it's by the pound. I'd never imagined my 8 year old daughters new favorite place to go is the laundry but she loves it. Loading, unloading, and folding makes her feel so happy to be a part of helping and the tables, front load washers, and lower dryers are right at her size. It's oddly satisfying to sit and watch them spin. Only downside is there are 3 plastic orange chairs by the door so if you really need to sit I'd recommend bringing a modest folding chair. No drama, easy environment, never had any issues. Great local find. š

The staff are cool and helpful š. Not a lot people on a Saturday, no drama. I am sure you can put in a load and go nab some food and come back with no stealing clothes.+0
